• Tijara wins the TOP 100 CEO Award for the year 2017


King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, April 11, 2017: The GCC’s leading business figures were the center of attention at a glittering red carpet event held at Bay La Sun, KAEC, Saudi Arabia. Organized by TRENDS magazine in conjunction with INSEAD business school, the Top CEO Awards 2017 paid tribute to business leaders whose efforts toward the success of their organizations are instrumental in the continued growth of the GCC.




The sixth installment of the annual event, Top CEO 2017 honored business heads judged to have excelled in the field of leadership. Media quest, the media and events company behind the initiative, says the ranking is the most credible of its kind in the region, as only CEOs of firms listed on the stock exchanges of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman are eligible.




“Top CEO Awards distinguishes itself from other schemes by stipulating that only CEOs of listed companies are eligible for entry. The awards are based on the financials of these companies, share profit, net profit, accuracy of the financial data and delivering it before deadlines, with the entire evaluation process being fully transparent and audited.




“TRENDS works in partnership with INSEAD to ensure that the program formula is the most accurate it can be and collaborates with Governance to include corporate governance and disclosure criteria as integral components of the ranking. The entire work has a final review by Deloitte, who provide an independent, authoritative stamp of approval. The overall result is that Top CEO is the most reliable barometer of business leadership performance for the region.
